Call Of The World

Today, I have discovered a window of opportunity... its passage may not be easy, but probable upon dedication spirit and mind. I have shared my case of wanderlust (in previous blog entries), and have decided I think I'd like to satisfy that wanderlust within me, through international volunteer work.

In volunteering, I want to plant a seed of imagination in the places where imagination has been lost to war and poverty. To make a home in hearts, for childlike wonder, creativity, and play.

I want to preserve and celebrate the colors of human spirit and global culture, so they may outlast the generations.

I want to go and fuel the dreams of those without means. To see their dreams blaze brighter and higher than the sun and moon.

I wish, so passionately, to spark the imagination of those burdened with hopelessness.

For I don't want to see any nation, any people, lost in darkness. Time continues unfolding in front of me, I must take the time I've been given, and not dwell in the dark.

Because after every dark period, and storm of darkness, there is a bright and brilliant light...

... that is waiting to be lit.

You beat me to it. I was about to ask you to swap links!! :) Thanks for what you said about my vlog. I was sort of nervous, as it was my first one. But glad it worked out rather well. I'm sort of shy and quiet... lol but somehow on video I opened up a bit. :) And I completely agree with you, blogging is great. It's the best "hobby" I have ever had!!

Yes the pictures are beautiful.
I don't know how you find all these amazing shots.

I tell you what I really want, one of those Indian headdress things.
How cool would that be.

I'll have to have a look at her flickr now...

That is really cool she made it herself!
I might have to try and make one myself too.

Thanks for the direct link! I was just scouring her flickr trying to find it.

Okay well I'm going to give it a shot anyway! Could be fun.

I'll let you know how it goes!

I saw that you commented on Leeselooks and I remembered you from Chictopia and was all "Ooohhh.. I hope she has a blog." And you do! And it's great! Definitely linking you right away. I'm also obsessed with Polaroids. I have a ton of packs of film squirreled away in my fridge... you definitely inspired to scan in more of my polaroids for future posts.
