There are a wealth of things that make me happy. Some are monumental, some come and go quietly. Perhaps some of the greatest moments, though, are the moments which we often refer to as "the little moments". These are the moments in which, if only for a moment, everything feels just right. Moments in which we are overwhelmed with the sensation of peace and of believing that everything truly is going to be alright.
These are not moments that at a distant seem critically important in any way, but as Thornton Wilder stated, "We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures." I believe that same concept, the idea of being aware of all we have to be thankful for, is what brings forth the occurrence of these moments in which everything feels perfect. Many grateful thanks to Jane for the "happy" tag, which asks bloggers to list 6 unimportant things that make them happy, and from my view point 6 things that create "little moments".
1) A fire in the fire place on a wintry evening, especially when such an occasion also invites books, hot chocolate, board games, and warm company.
2) Swimming deep under the sea, in a cocoon of tranquil blue calm.
3) The sound of my kitty purring, and the touch of her downy-like fur against my bare skin.
4) When a song I love comes on the radio, and spins any sour mood I may have been in around to elated blissfulness.
5) Flying, whether by airplane or other method. The feeling of air rising up underneath me and rushing past me, of adrenaline pumping through my veins in reply to being airborne.
6) Dusk and dawn, the warm blanket of sunlight filtering through darkness to reach you.
`Now to recent blog awards, a hearty thanks to you all for being generous and honoring my blog with such awards, you make me blush so very much, and such sweet gestures, such as these blog awards, are like treasures to me.
First award I'll do is the "You Rock" award, thanks to impeccably stylish and sweet Marta for giving me this award, and I would like to pass it on to: The Stylish Wanderer, Daisy Chain Dreams, Much Love, Kaleidoscope Dreams and The Valentine Journals.
The second recent award given to me, was the "E for Excellence" award, which was graciously given to me by the charming miss Anna and her equally endearing blog Much Love. I'd like to pass on this honor to: Rice & Peace, Spider, Spin Me A Story, City Of Petra, Sugar & Blush and A Beautiful Life.
The third and fourth recent awards I've recieved are the "Premio Dardos" and the "Kreativ Blogger"award, a dozen enthusiastic thanks to my dear Betsey and Saorise for honoring me with these awards. However I am sad to say I am nearly out of time, and have yet to ponder who to pass these awards on to yet, but for now I wanted to include my sincerce thanks for them.

…it’s snowing, A LOT *smile*, but I’m still happy. Though, I would have preferred the rain instead.
“Little moments”
1)Anxiously, awaiting for the next time that it will rain, to sit quietly at the window, watch the rain fall, and then pretend of making a very heartfelt.
2)Finding quirky, unusual, & viewy artwork, that takes my mind back to a calm yet funny place from my childhood.
3)…reading MOST, but writing Good & bad poetry.
4) Smiling while secretly giggling at an inside joke, that no one else got.
Glad you like the CoCo Chanel quotes :o) Hope your day is cool…I’m staring outside while typing, shacking my head & grinning…hopefully, we won’t reach any “inches” lol.
6.Checking my email. (Sometimes knowing I'm connected to such wonderful people, and integral institutions makes me feel powerful.)
5.Cooking breakfast.(Depending on how simple or complex it turns out to be, just the act of preparing food I'm about to start the day off with, is far richer and healthy an experience than any cup of Joe.)
4.Staring at the sky.(Such a joy I sometimes have to force myself into doing to slow the world down for me. And even on a slow day I do it to brighten my cleared thoughts into a muse.)
3.3am with friends.(Depending on what you're doing, It makes the your relationship with them ALL the more secure, or telling enough to break it off forever.)
2.Turning on the computer.(You know you're being or about to be productive JUST by turning it on. Wish other work was just as quickly self-gratifying as that.)
1.Epiphanies.(Whenever, However, Whyever, they happen. Anymore happy and you'd be having a mental orgasm.)

I love walking outside and viewing the bustle around me... just focusing on a person and thinking about their life, what they've been through... amazing. I love dwelling not only in the moment, but in the little things!

What a fantastic post, such a lovely thing to read on an overcast Sunday afternoon. Six moments that I love:
1) Walking, warm and bundled up, through a city winter night. Looking at all the Christmas lights glowing in the windows
2) Holding several kittens! At once!
3) Laughing so hard I have to hold the pee in
4) When a plane I'm on starts its decent into a new and foreign city and I feel the adventures to come opening up in front of me
5) Drinking red wine with friends on a winter night.

I love it too when a song I like comes on the radio, especially if I'm in a bad mood. It just makes everything so much better. There are many songs that I relate to different people in my life, and whenever a song comes that reminds me of warm feelings for other people it's always such a pleasure!

Once again, i recognise a lot from myself in the things you write about yourself.
To me, the things that make me happy are indeed those little, tiny moments when all of a sudden everythings seems perfect just the way it is. Those moments come rarely and are always gone before you know it, that's what makes them so special.

I do think it's the little things that count more, they briefly stop time and fill the moment with joy.
Listening to music makes me very, very happy. Especially when it's a live show and I'm witnessing magic being created before my very eyes.

Yes all life seems to be made up of mundane, small moments that make us feel alive or a few monumental life altering events...
A few things that make me happy are:
Walking through snow at dusk.
Making a huge mug of tea after the walk!
Flying home at Christmas to see my family & friends.
Covering up in a pashmina whenever & wherever I feel I need some comfort.
Lying in bed on a Saturday afternoon reading!
And lastly reading blogs that inspire (like yours) and leave me with a smile on my lips for a while after :D

3)Walking barefoot in the rain.
4)Eating something good.
5)Reading or watching a film that really takes me in.
6)Giving/creating and getting presents ...

Flying, really? I fly often and I always get a bit nervous... But once you've been "up there" for a while, it gets 'comfy' ^^ I loved how you describe the feeling.

1. splashing in puddles when i know my feet won't get wet!
2. bonfires! poking at fire is just so much fun
3. stomping in a pile of crunchy leaves!
4. when my cat looks happy to see me :)
5. eating my favourite coffee nut cake!!! mmm cravings!
6. when photos of past fun pop up on my computer from the screen saver mode. i just sit there and remember and smile. haha.

i love moments,some moments that i really have kept in my heart would be the moment when i graduated from middle school and my grandmother kissed me and said "your father would be proud".

and i love how you name the post. We have way tooooooooo many different moments in our lifes. HAppy/Sad/Crazy/Wild, they all happen simultanously. Sure we all have great moments, but those litltle moments are all that really matters, they are those who will make your smile in the middle of your dream :)

I like that too.. its always such a calm moment.. usually inspiration comes to me at those hours too. I also like-- travelling by land (fear of flying) and having a soundtrack to go with it. Best feeling ever.

and this is a beautiful post. i love those little moments..the ones where you are just perfectly content and happy and you just have that amazing feeling that life is beautiful despite all its sadness and chaos. those moments all strung together definitely make life worth living, and i think it's those moments that i will look back on as i grow old. you know how they say your life flashes before your eyes as you die? well maybe it's those moments that you see.That would be a beautiful way to leave this world.
i adore all the images. i travel quite a bit, so my airplane moment would be whenever the tires hit the ground and suddenly i know i arrive safe and sound once again.
